Just curious i bought a Alienware 17R3 which came with the smaller CPU, and the 970 graphics card, 8gb ram and the 128gb c drive.

I think i was expecting this laptop to perform much faster than it is. i installed star wars battlefront and it would not even run i had to un-install it... i assumed the 8gb ram was the culpret and installed 32gb G.Skill RAM today and still no enhancement in performace... i guess im asking the community before i do one last step before i return the laptop to best buy for a refund...

the only thing i can now assume is the SSD drive is small and slow... i was thinking of installing the new samsung 960 512gb drive in its place... does anyone think this will cure my lagging laptop performace and allow me to run star wars?

thanks
Michael

In the bios you have to enable the "other" graphics card, otherwise you running on the on-board graphic card.
