Adrenaline and Skyrim

Does Alien Adrenaline do anything other than run macro commands prior to running a game (added performance)?
Also, can anyone get Skyrim via Steam to work with Alien Adrenaline? For me it just runs the macros, starts the game, then restores the macros.
