Hi guys :)

Ive just purchased an Alienware 14 with the following configuration

Alienware 14 : Standard Base
4th Generation Intel Core i7-4810MQ processor(Quad Core, 6MB Cache, up to 3.8GHz) 14.0 inch (355.6 mm) WLED FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS Anti-Glare Display
16GB Dual Channel DDR3L at 1600MHz (2x8GB)
256GB mSATA SSD Boot + 1TB 5400RPM SATA 6Gb/s
Optical Drive : Slot-Loading Dual Layer Blu-ray Reader (BD-ROM, DVD/RW, CD-RW)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M with 2GB GDDR5
802.11ac Dual Band 2x2 AC WiFi +Bluetooth 4.0
5G WiFi 802.11n/ac Wireless and Bluetooth 4.0 driver
Windows 8.1 Pro (64Bit)

I can't wait :D- I was wondering if its possible to remove the 1TB HDD and replace it with another SSD, but configure the 256mSATA boot and a new SSD in RAID 0

Does the Alienware 14 support RAID 0??? or any type of RAID ?? thanks guys

Welcome! I can't see why you won't be able to set up RAID on there between an mSata and standard SSD.
Down here they have a RAID 0 setup as a config option so it will support it. That setup isn't using the mSata port though. they have that as a separate drive.

I believe you have to use 256 ssd to run raid and you would only have 256 of memory I replaced my 1tb with a Samsung pro 512 and its a beast it has photo shop on the ssd and it runs 10 times better than on 10,000 rpm hdd it was on before and you can use your 1tb for back up I have a system image plus a full back up on it
