Hi there,
Quick question...
I'm looking to upgrade my 17r4 from 16 to 32G RAM.
I've looked up the RAM specs and been directed to the Crucial 32G/2666 kit listed here... https://uk.crucial.com/memory/ddr4/ct2k16g4sfd8266/ct9511918
In searching for a good deal for this set of RAM modules, I've found what appears to be the identical item - the specs match in every respect.
Except this one lists 'for Mac' as a footnote at the end of the specifications.
Do Macs have RAM variations specifically made for them, still? Aren't they built to utilise common RAM modules?
Is there any reason - spec for spec - why THIS kit https://www.crucial.com/memory/ddr2/ct2k16g4s266m shouldn't work in the Alienware 17r4?
Advice greatly appreciated.
