You need to uninstall the Command Center. Make sure you you reboot after uninstalling. Once you have them uninstalled you can go to the Dell.com/Support, and download the corresponding Drivers again for the Command Center.

I am not sure what else to tell you. I would contact Alienware Support.

been there done that they cant help me anymore because i modded it and put in new case, even though i have the same keyboard on another system i bought of amazon that does the same thing they cant help me. So it seams they cant support there keyboard and software on other pc as well i wil never buy alienware tact x stuff again or for that matter there computers.

u can use tactX keyb and mouse with every pc, but your X51 motherboard it s doing the issue.

(I am totally sure about this, i have 2 custom build pc and i used for years tactX keyb and mouse with Alienfx lights )

u can have a better motherboard for 50-60 $ and a super mobo for 100$, the motherboard it s the worst part of the x51 so change it.

I ll never place a x51 in another case, it s the best part, it s better leave the x51 as it is and buy a new custom build pc. Spare parts are cheap and u can take form you x51 cpu-ram-gpu- in 2 minutes

i was assuming u installed the tactx keyb/mouse software and not the Alienware x51 software. If u used The x51 dvd remove it and use the other!

it was indeed the software i had installed it was looking for the light board in the system which was not there and crashing with a stack overfull, i don't need the software anyhow dell confirmed i was safe to remove it i set the current keyboard to the lights i wanted it on for now and uninstalled the software as all it controls, is the lights and not really anything else on the x51. so problem is solved and thank god.
