Hi guys. Have an i3 alpha. It was the 4gig of ram so after seeing how easy it was to change went and got another 4gig ddr3 1600 to go in. After installing my monitor no longer received a signal from the Alpha. Turned everything back off and took out the new ram. Still no monitor although alpha is powering. Dell did not have a clue when I called, just said it will have to be looked at and sent away for 3 weeks. I use it more as a pc and I had upgraded windows to 10. Anyone else had similar issue?

Mis-matched memory maybe? You got the low voltage DDR3 right?
Best thing is 'always' to buy matched pairs. I upgraded to 8gb (2 x 4gb) Corsair Vengeance and it works like a dream.

I agree with @Chris Shaw, I would stick with matching sticks and look for compatibility. I've always used Corsair and G. Skill, never had issues.
