Hey, So I was wondering if it would be possible to run a 1060 3gb, in a x51 r2 with a 240w psu? Or would I have to Upgrade?
I'm currently running an i7 4770 with a gtx 745.
Have you found an answer? I'm currently in this situation right now, 1060 3gb on way from eBay but I only have a 240w PSU, let me know if you went through with it and how it went! Thank you

I'm thinking about making the same change. How did this work out for you?
Hey, I lended up installing the 1060 3gb, with 16gb of RAM aswell, I bought a killawatt meter to read my output. After installing and running stress tests. My computer never ran above 176w to the wall!
With that being said, you DO NOT need to upgrade PSU. The 240W is enough power for 16gb of ram and the 1060. So if say pull the trigger and get yourself the 1060 3gb.
