I called technical support for cosmetic flaw on my bezel. After that was taken care of I inquired about a second R4 for my girlfriend. To my surprise the technical support person offered me these 3 options for a future purchase if ordered through him.

Option 1: 15% discount
Option 2: Top of the line anti glare/fingerprint/scratch screen protector & Orion backpack of choice
Option 3: Mouse and Keyboard combo from alienware website.

Just though someone else would want to know this.

Wow, that is too cool! However I wonder if you have to be calling in with a tech issue for them to be able to offer you that deal. I can just imagine calling tech support and saying "Well, you see, I really do not have any tech issues per se, howver; I heard you can offer me a killer deal on a laptop!" LOL

Just curious, what was the flaw you originally called in about?

I called regarding my keyboard bezel. The paint was starting to fall after just a few months. They are sending me replacement and also offered to send out a technician free of charge to change it, but I turned that service down. Also yeah I guess it would make for a peculiar conversation.

That's the same issue I was having. There is a thread here somewhere. They gave me a replacement M17x. The replacement started doing it too but no where near as bad as the first one did.

Nice one Yikes! Monday morning chuckles :D

What I don't get are pictures of guys hacking online at home with a balaclava and a crowbar .. or as shown above, making a call with a balaclava, and gloves no less ...

But i cannot come across as that dodgy .... do i ??? o_O
