When I first bought my Alienware M17X R4 it had a 500gb 7200 rpm Harddrive with a 32 GB msata caching drive. I have now installed a 512gb solid state drive and I use the 500gb 7200rpm drive for storage. What I was wanting to no is it possible to use the 32gb msata to cache my storage drive. But now have changed my BIOS settings from raid to ahci and now when I attempt to cache my storage drive it won't boot as when I change it back to raid I get an error STOP 0x0000007B INACCESSABLE_BOOT_DEVICE which is making me think its not possible. So if anyone knows were I'm going wrong or if this is not possible could somebody help me out. It would be much appreciated

So all I have to do is run the Microsoft fix then I can change back to raid without error. Then use the Intel rst to cache my storage drive. Is that right or am I missing something

Yes. That's correct. It should allow you to switch boot to RAID without error 0x0000007B
