cannot find ethernet driver for m17x r4..

i cant seem to figure out which ethernet card is installed in my m17x r4. i cant find any updates for drivers of the ethernet on dell site. if any one could tell me which company's card is installed. i could get the the driver some how.
P.S it does not detect driver on its own.

if you goto the dell/alienware website, you should be able to enter your service tag and it should tell you all the details you need.

Don't you have a disk with all the drivers on it? Check it, it should be there for sure.

I don't know about the r4, but my r3 uses the Atheros driver for Atheros AR8151.

This is a Alienware. (this is a better point of view. 'How to you mod a Ferrari....!')

Have you try the >>>Disc that come with your shipment!
It is in there.

If you are installing WiFi..! You need to 'Turn-On' The Card.
Other wise It won't detect.

are you talking about the wifi card? or yuo actually mean the ethernet card where you plug the cable in?

Use the Alienware Resource Disc, our USB as I have it.
All the drivers you need are on there.
Look for the atheros driver as stated above.
