I have an Alienware x51 I bought about a year and a half ago. I believe that a boot file for Windows 7 was deleted and now my computer will only go to BIOS screen and will not boot any further. I have tried bootable DVD and USB, neither of which worked. I need some help. Any additional information needed I will provide.

Thanks in advance.

Is it saying " no operating system found" or what is happening?

Make sure you have boot from DVD first in the Bios if your trying to re install windows.

It just redirects me to BIOS screen every time. I made sure to have cd/DVD as first boot and also USB first when trying that. I even chose USB from boot options still does the same thing.

May not help at all but you could try clearing the CMOS before trying again.

Do a power drain first by unpluging the power and hold the power button down for 20-30 secs.
To clear the CMOS have a look here. You'll need to remove the GPU for this part.

Worth a try.
