Cant open virtual xp in win 7 pro

I downloaded it via MS, i put in the desktop and when I go to open it, all I get is "windows cannot this file", when I try and open via explorer I get the blank page, what am I doing wrong

I thought this was quite easy....I was wrong

Never used xp mode in windows 7, but if you can't find an answer use virtual box, it's freeware and it is decent.

Make sure virtualization is enabled in your bios

VMWare workstation is the best but its pricey unless you use a cracked version.

May be.....but when i was downloading it from ms, i put in that it was 7 pro and let me go ahead, there was no mention of it not being compatable. I first tried it with 7 home, it wouldnt let me, so put 7 pro on. It says it's in my system and ready to use.....but wont bloody open!!
