Dell US has the M14x starting at $999. Sounds like you got the 1366x768 LCD and the lowest spec RAM and HDD (which is part of their $999 price). I would try to return it and order one online from Dell with the 1600x900 LCD. It's only an extra $75 from standard. I think you didn't get the best deal you could have.

I agree with Matty. I compared both screen options in person on the m14x and decided that the additional $75 was worth it. Actually it's quite a bargain if you compare it to the screen quality upgrades that Asus and Lenovo offer.

Looks like it's got the i5-3230. It's an extra $100 to upgrade to the base i7. Couldn't tell which one you had from your link.

It'll do the job, that's for sure. They don't even give us the option of the cheaper display or i5 here in Australia.
