Hello and thank you for reading my post,

Not that long ago I received my Alienware 17, I ordered it with a single drive as I intended to upgrade it as I am doing now. What is the size (physical) of the drives the the bays can hold??? My local store sells SSD's in two different depths (10mm and 6.8mm) Which one do I have to buy for it to fit correctly inside my laptop??? thanks

It should be 9.5mm/10mm which is simple enough to check by removing the back panel and four screws and simply measure your original harddrive you could even take the spare bracket to the shop where you are purchasing ssd. if it makes you feel better but the 6.8mm are more for netbooks and tablets
