Upgraded the cooling on [my Xeon-powered Alienware X51 R2 - https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/b/ZwfH99 - (if you can even call it that anymore) with a custom intake featuring a Noctua NF-P12 and a Noctua NH-L9x65.

Based on a 60-minute run of AIDA64 stressing CPU/FPU/cache:

Before - stock Intel copper slug heatsink w/ Noctua Redux 80mm and no intake

Average CPU package temperature peaked at 91.2 degrees C, with the maximum package temperature hitting 99 degrees C.

After - Noctua NH-L9x65 w/ NF-A9x14 and NF-P12 intake

Average CPU package temperature peaked at 72.3 degrees C, with the maximum package temperature hitting 79 degrees C.

100% satisfied, particularly given the ~20 degree decrease also comes with significantly less fan noise.

P.S. This necessitated removing the stock black CPU cooler back plate, which most people seem to think can't be removed. I can confirm it is attached to the CPU socket bracket by two glue strips, and can be removed by heating up the plate and prying it up. See the imgur album for details.
