Gaming Trouble

Good afternoon,
I have an Alienware X51 with an i5 processor, and a GeForce 660. I bought it a few years ago and have been pretty pleased with the system. However, lately whenever I load a game (Guild Wars 2) the game runs for about 3 minutes and then freezes and the whole system shuts down. Every so often outside of gaming the screen goes dead and I get a message saying Kernel drive failed and was recovered. Yet, when I run a check on the gpu everything is green. If anyone has any ideas what is wrong, please help me out.

Normally a system experiencing random lock ups and shutdowns points to a PSU issue
