Hardcore tech hobbyist and Xbox 360 gamer with +37,000 gamerscore.
Just brought my first Alienware to get back into PC gaming, and replace my
heavily modded Dell Dimension E521 fully maxed out by motherboard limitations.

Alienware M17X R4
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
3rd Gen Intel i7-3740QM 2.7Ghz
24GB Dual Channel DDR3 1600MHz
2GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 660M
256GB Solid State Drive SATA 6Gb/s
17.3-inch WideFHD 1920 x 1080 60Hz WLED
Intel 2230 Wireless-N

Estimated Delivery Date: 11/30/2012

I know, bought a insane amount ram that will last for years.
Just of the those cases of I just want more for no reason and not make my friends jealous. ;)

Welcome. I know about splurging for no reason. I just put more ram in my Dell Precision M6600 laptop. 32GB total. LOL I picked it up cheap for $55.

Welcome man! I am actually new too and also getting back into PC gaming after years of console-only shenanigans.
