Great news everyone! I finally ordered the M14x R2 Laptop today it will be shipped on 11/23/12 Im so anxious right now to recieve it I was suppose to wait till December to order the M14x, but I had to get it now for the company I will be working for and it requires me to travel and be on the laptop constantly. My job requires me to use Wifi, PDF files, Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and lots of E-mails and when I have free time I will be doing some gaming on the side :)
I tried to keep my budget at about $1500, but it went slightly over to $1600 due to the extra stuff I added. Great news is I got Free Next Day Shipping due to a glitch in DellAwares website during the ordering process. Somehow I couldn't submit my order through and so I called Dell and let them know about the problem. For the inconvienance they offered me Free next day shipping on the Orochi Bluetooth Laser Gaming Mouse and the M14X Laptop it saved me $100 worth of shipping and another $150 in Promotion/Membership discounts. So far I'm a happy customer let's cross the fingers on that lol.

Total Price I paid $1,636.70

Now if I didn't get the Advanced-N Wimax card, Microsofte Office product, and the Accident Service plan I would have paid a little over $1500 instead, but I needed those stuff for work purposes so I'm happy with the price I paid.

Below is the Specs on my new M14x R2 rig and the Discounts on some of the parts including $75 off for being a member of Alienware.

Specs:
Nebula Red with Personalized Nameplate

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit Service Pack 1, English, w/Media

3rd Generation Intel Core i7-3630QM 6MB Cache, up to 3.4GHz w/ Turbo Boost 2.0

8GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1600MHz (Dell Upgrade Offer from 6Gb to 8Gb for the same price as 6Gb)

14.0" High Def+ (900p/1600x900) with WLED backlight

2 GB DDR5 NVIDIA GeForceGT 650M using NVIDIA Optimus technology (Dell Upgrade Offer with 10% discount on 2Gb)

500GB 7200RPM SATA 3Gb/s

Slot-Loading Dual Layer DVD Burner, DVD+-RW

Intel Advanced-N WiFi Link 6250 a/g/n 2x2 MIMO Technology with WiMax and Bluetooth 4.0

Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010, English

No virus protection

Steam and Skype factory installed

1yr Warranty with 1yr Accidental Damage

Orochi Bluetooth Laser Gaming Mouse on it's way.

My future upgrade plan when I get the M14x is removing the DVD drive and make it a Second Drive Bay. My main drive will be the new Samsung 840 Pro Series 256Gb SSD and I will use the 500Gb HDD I already have as my storage.

Let me know what you guys think about the new Laptop I ordered and my future upgrade plans for storage drive, Thanks for reading.

Thank You Ao Family members I'm really excited about this purchase. It's going to be so handy and useful when I use the M14x for work/studies and especially for gaming on the go : ))

I will take pics of my new laptop and maybe have an unboxing on YouTube. I will see how much free time I have before I make a video.

Thanks & sure thing Jenny I got a membership discount because I joined Alienware Arena. It's a forum like this one, but created by DellAware. I purchased the Alienware Aurora R1 2yrs. ago on there website and somehow found Alienware Arena on the Alienware website by clicking through the tabs on the upper left corner. Once I found Alienware Arena I signed up and joined the forum and ever since then I get membership discounts on future purchases.

I finally got my laptop on Monday which was pretty fast. I don't have enough time yet to post pictures or do any unboxing video yet due to homework and Thanksgiving. I will post up pictures of the M14x and also I'll try to get the unboxing video going. The youtube video will be the first ever video for me so bare with me on that. Cheers!
