Just re-purposed one of your own adaptors to my needs ;) * maniacal laughter*

(A note, power supplies are dangerous, take care to discharge before taking them apart, mods of this kind WILL void any and ALL warranties attached to the brick or whatever you attach it to)

Take one dell slimline 240W adaptor:

Take out the screws:

Squeeze the middle of the side of the unit and pull the lid to remove it:

Remove the tape and unsolder the points that connect the shield to ground:

[Images to be added from this point]

Unsolder the leads to the main cord.

Insert new cable and solder it in

Resolder shield

Re-tape sheilds

Re-construct unit and tape end if required to ensure a tight fit

Connect to machine

I am still alive, it plugs into the wall fine but I get the system to test it on tomorrow.

I did this once before on an Asus 230W brick for my old P150EM and it works just fine :)

Something about re-purposing it. We'll have to wait for the OP to follow up. :)

Yes re purposing for my 16F3 barebone.

5.5x2.5mm tip adaptors stop at 180W, so by using this 240W brick I get more juice for headroom when overclocking.

Customs delayed it a day, it had been released now at least :(

The reason I need it is due to the specs I am putting in it:

MSI 16F3 barebone with unlocked bios.
3940XM (bios overclocking)
Gtx680m 4gb (unlocked es bios for 1ghz + core clocks)
2x4gb ddr3 2133mhz hyper-x sodimm
512GB OCZ Vector SSD
Dvd-rw + external Bluray (I have one lying around)
1920x1080 matte display
Custom modified 230w delta power brick + 240w Alienware modified brick for travel.

I'm happy to report even with a 50% graphics clock and a 4.3-4.4ghz CPU fully loaded it's holding up very well.
