Is this Alienware M17x laptop really good for gaming?

Can it run games like BF3, Black Ops, Amnesia, and GTA IV? It has dual 1 GB GDDR5 ATI Radeon Mobility HD 5870M graphics cards and an intel core i7 processor and 1920x1200 resolution.

I would beef up your RAM- at least to 16gig if not more. I have pretty much the same system (check my sig) with 24 gig of RAM, I use it for work and play and it handles anything and everything I throw at it. :) SO YES its perfect/awesome for gaming.

UPDATE** - I forgot - I recently upgraded my two 22" monitors to two 24" acer monitors :)

Its decent enough for 720p gaming...No need to add more RAM I havent seen a game that required past 4GB...I guess cause a lot of games were still designed to run on 32-Bit machines...you only need more than 8GB if you are in to Renderiing and Photo/Video Editing...But hey if it makes you feel better adding more by all means go for it they are cheap ^_^
