Lots of wet sanding between coats gets a nice smooth finish and then clear coat at the end. It's important to get the soft-touch off without scratching the plastic underneath it or it's very hard to cover up the scratches if they are deep. The soft-touch usually comes off with some solvent cleaner and a plastic scraping tool. I also use a few coats of primer before spraying the colour. How did you manage to get the smooth finnish? Been thinking about this as i know that they come with the "soft touch" finnish which is probably a pain to get completely off...
