Hi, I have an Aurora R4 with i7 core 4 gigs memory and just bought a Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1. I downloaded an app called Techpowerup GPU-Z 1.11.0. It gives a lot of info about the card and what it's running at. Anyways for the Bus Interface it shows PCI-E 2.0 x 16 @ x 16 1.1 . I was checking other peoples overclocking info and all of there's read PCI-E 3.0 x 16. I checked and my card is rated at 3.0. Did I do something wrong? computer to old? or does it even matter. Any help please, thanks.

Cass-Ole thank you for your help. Well I checked out two ways to enable the 3.0 and could not find it in the bios at all. :( I downloaded the app CPU-Z and found out my motherboard model numbers and looked it up and DAMN I have the X58 chipset. It's the south bridge version 82801jr which means it's 2.0 only :( :( Now I have buyers remorse on buying the Gigabyte GTX 1080 G1. It is a lot better than what I had so I really shouldn't complain. Oh well such is life. On to gaming :)
