Has anyone had problems after installing the new Nvidia driver? I haven't come across any problems so far on my M17x but on my M11x the framerate for BF3 on medium settings went from 35-37fps to 8-10fps after the install. Rolled it back to 296.1 and thankfully its back to normal. It seemed fine on Skyrim though.

Yeah it didn't even work on my m11x at all, so I just rolled back to the same driver you did.

I believe 301.42 is the proper version. I think the beta was 301.24. I could be wrong though. I often am.

I just updated to 301.42 (kind of late) and my FPS in LOL dropped from 60 to 16. It didn't have any effect on Minecraft (those are the only two games I've tried it with), but I'm going to revert back to 296.10 like you.

Just out of curiosity, before rolling back to prev drivers, are you sure you setted the VGA to be used from nVidia control panel for the specific game? Sometimes it seems it reverts back to original settings.

Good point. Didn't think of that. I never had to do that before with other Nvidia driver updates. My M17x sorted it out automatically. I may try it again and have a look.

At this stage it seems that the M17x doesn't have any issues with this driver?

Agreed. I rolled back my M11x but kept my m17x on the new one. Both are running perfectly like this as far as I can tell.

The only game that I am having FPS issues with is Total War: Shogun 2. Though it seems that a few other people are having the same issue. I think it may be only on mobile GPU's though. :(

Oh, I must say that I am still on 301.10. I wonder if upgrading to 301.42 will solve my issue...

Never played it actually so I don't know. I always hear people talking about it though. Worth the purchase?

Depends if you like strategy games. I love this series since its original release. I love how the units keep formation in battle. There are a few things to consider, such as who you are marrying your daughters off to as their suitors can turn traitors to you and so forth.

EDIT: for me, yes totally worth the purchase. a lot to go into details with.
