Aside from booting the OS and telling the cdrom drive to eject. How does one do it?

I do not believe there is any physical button to do so, so unless you figure out a way to eject it from command line, I don't think that's doable.

That really does suck I'm pleased I never waited I love my r4 but if I was to buy again I would get the m18x r2 my 7970 fly's threw games now but in couple of years the games will get even more graphics intensive so having that extra card would be nice. But my r4 will do for now

Actually I did find a way, the media keys do exist and work. Though I have to test if it works when the pc is booting :)

I have an FN key for the optical drive. I haven't tested to see if I can use it during boot up or any time when windows isn't loaded though.
