Screen upgrade to 1600x900 1920x1080?

Does anyone know tell me if it's 100% compatible? One guy said that my'll need a 3D emitter cable for use with this screen, otherwise it will not work

Can someone confirm me whether I really need this issuer 3d?

the emitter is for playing games in 3D with the 3D glasses. you don't need it if you don't want 3D or you have an aftermarket GPU. the 120Hz part of the panel is more useful.
