Severe FPS Drops

Alright, this has been happening pretty much any time I try to play a game.

I try to play CS: GO (on lowest settings) and after 15-20 minutes the fps goes from the 100s to 16-40s. This is obviously not a good frame rate for a competitive game like counter-strike.

Here are my specs:
Alienware m14x r2
Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
Intel Core i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30 GHz 8 CPUs
8192MB RAM (8gb)
Nvidia gt 650m
Intel hd graphics 4000

Sounds like it could be throttling due to overheating. A few ideas would be to open her up and clean out the fans and heatsinks if there is dust in them. Also maybe try using a decent cooling pad. If you really want to get serious you could reapply the thermal paste on your GPU and CPU with a top quality paste.
Also make sure your graphics drivers are up to date.

check your GPu and CPU temps.
upto 75c ok with GPU and for CPU 80-90.anything above that is not.
if temp are high ,then you need to clean your heatsink and fan assy(dust between them).
also maybe a repaste is required on GPU/CPU.
