Shut down or sleep mode?

Idiot that I am, I forgot that a completely powered down PC will not recharge wireless headphones or wireless mouse. So, a little public opinion poll...do you ever shut down your X51 or always go into sleep mode so your peripherals can recharge?

Only time I shut down a desktop is during a storm, I see no need to ever turn it off unless I'm working on it or a storm is coming.

I always shut mine down. Don't really see the need to keep it on if I am not doing anything with it.

I shut down, unless I hibernate.
I never sleep any of my machines.

Shut down. With SSDs anyway it won't make any noticeable difference, and since I don't have any wireless stuff except my Logitech Precision MX, I have no need for sleep mode.

I always, always, shut down - more for energy conservation than anything else I guess... every little helps :)

I almost always use sleep. It's faster then having to boot up each time I want to turn on my computer. I usually shut it down when doing an update or if I'm not going to use it for more than a day (doesn't happen often).

Shuut down all the time. My desktop is usually off more than it's on me thinks. The only thing I sleep is my macbook because when I'm working I get bored and want to come back to it easily, but I always shut it down when I'm done.

I had the Sam problem. I fixed by disabling the video card from being able to wake up the PC. Seems to have been just the trick.

sometimes, you may also have an option that "wakes from network activity" enabled. some options can be disabled from BIOS.

This is what I always do,

Although my X51 never had a highbernate option & I have no idea why

Shutdown makes more sense y keep ure comp running un necessarily
Not only do u consume more power plus the spu fans keep spinning in order to mantain the temp so reduces the life of ure fans etc...

I usually sleep mine if I know I will use it again within 24 hours. If I won't be touching for a few days I shut it down.
