Hi all,

I'm planning on upgrading my X51r1's GPU. Here are my specs:

i3 processor
8GB RAM
500GB HDD
GTX 545 GPU
330W PSU

I'm currently looking at the GTX 660 line. Could you please advise whether either (or both) of these cards would work?

1. EVGA (02G-P4-2662-KR) GeForce GTX 660 Superclocked 2GB GDDR5

2. Zotac (ZT-60901-10M) GeForce GTX 660

With the EVGA, I'm concerned that it comes out of the box superclocked. Would this be an issue with regards to either heat or power consumption? I understand that the EVGA model uses the "reference" cooling method - by blowing air out the back of the unit, which I understand to be desirable with the X51. Is this correct?

With the Zotac, I'm concerned that the cooling method may not be the same as the "reference" card, and could therefore cause problems with the X51's smaller size. Is this something I should be worried about?

Thank you very much for your help!

Any advice? Is there any additional information you'd need to answer?

Go with a evga 760, preferably 4gb. Get a blower type card not the acx. You'll be ok with a stock oc card, I used a 670ftw in mine and overclocked on top of that...you're good!!!
