so i took apart my m14x to do a repaste job because of the over heating issue.
does that void warranty?

I was told that opening your laptop/desktop or changing hardware does NOT void your warranty. But it was abour 2 years ago, maybe the law changed(?) :x

You should be perfectly fine from everything I've read. Alienware machines are built to be personally upgraded. If you damage something while doing it though you will probably be in trouble.

No it doesn't void your warranty. It only voids it if you damaged component(s) during the process.

Yeh I saw something on this when I got my M17xR3. No warranty void.
