How does Total War:Rome 2 perform on an x51 with the following specs:

Alienware x51 R2 /Intel Core i7-4770 /NVidia GeForce GTX 760 with 1.5G GDDR/16 GB Dual Chan DDR3

Rome II (Recommended) specs:

OS: Windows 7 / Windows 8
Processor:2nd Generation Intel Core i5 processor (or greater)
Memory: 4GB RAM
Graphics:1024 MB DirectX 11 compatible graphics card.
DirectX®:11
Hard Drive:35 GB HD space
Screen Resolution: 1920x1080

The x51 system appears to more than accommodate the "recommended" Rome 2 specs however I am not sure whether the X51 will be able to run same in Ultra mode.

If anyone is running Rome 2 on an x51 with similar specs, on Ultra, or other settings please advise - or if you could provide a link to a site with that info it would be appreciated.

Thanks for your help.

I would just youtube "Rome 2 GTX 760" or "Rome 2 Ultra GTX 760" the video card is basically the bottleneck in any system. That should give you an idea on what to expect on an x51 with those specs.

X51 Suitability Answered :)

Post playing this for the past three days on my new X51 described here, Total War: Rome II runs not only at Ultra but the highest "Extreme" settings. It is a sight to behold if you are a Rome II player. Thanks to all the suggestions made here and elsewhere regarding suitability of the X51 system with Rome II. Now to master the game - a more daunting task ;) - Thanks
