Hello all. Well I'm new to the world of pc gaming and upgrading and recently got playing world of tanks and now warships and love it. So I decided I would upgrade my old i3 3220 and after some research bought the i5 4690k cpu.
It came today. NIGHTMARE! !!
It doesn't fit.
Can I buy a motherboard that will fit the 4690k or will I have to settle for an older cpu?
I also plan on getting the GTX 750ti graphics card as well later with a 330w psu as well of course.
Please help cause I'm rubbish.

Older CPU make more sense if calculate the mobo + pb swap + CPU it will way more costly compared to older i5 3570 or what ever CPU you want and the performance gain from ivy to haswell is so small to be considered as upgrade.

Its better if you can over clock but our x51 motherboards won't allow that so there is no point in having a K CPU unless its the devil's canyon i7 that run @ 4 GHz and turbo up to 4.4 GHz from the factory.
