Hello fellow Aliens.
I have been trying without success to replace my Single HD(OEM) with a brand new San disk SSD.
I was able to remove the old drive and place a SSD in the original caddy With adapter.
I down loaded Microsoft media creation tool For win10 home 64 bit. (On separate computer).
I burned this to DVD.
I placed DVD in drive- I had previously set bios to Boot DVD 1st.
bios loaded- single beep- screen said no bootable drive found / no Hard disk.
So does the MS windows creation tool-Automatically create the DVD as a bootable disc?
Also I tried with a USB drive--with the same Fail notice.
I have bios A07 atm
The hard disc SSD is fresh - does it need formatting 1st to be seen?(Fat32 Fast)?
Anyway- If you can assist I would be most grateful.
ATM I have replaced the original HD at it Boots fine.
I do not have any 3rd party burning ATM - I used what win 10 provides.
Thanks
